We're trading the traditional office for the ocean, where breakthrough moments happen between waves.

Our Surf 'n Psych sessions blend professional psychology with the natural healing power of the Noosa Biosphere. But this isn't just therapy with an Instagram-worthy backdrop. Each session is strategically designed to transform the ocean environment into an active part of your healing journey. Whether you're riding solo or paddling out as a couple, we'll get you off the couch, onto a board, and into a breakthrough.


WHY - OCEAN THERAPY

Ocean therapy harnesses the ocean’s natural elements and has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve mood, aid recovery, and boost cognitive function.

How:

  • Stress? Melted like sunscreen on a hot day.
    There’s something magical about the ocean—its sound, smell, taste…. rhythm. It has the ability to get you out of your head and into the present moment. By reducing your heart rate and cortisol levels (a stress hormone), we can get yo in the zone for change.

  • Communication? Easier than a beachside cocktail.
    Talking is way less awkward when you’re out on the water, sitting on a board and watching the waves roll in. Whether it’s a personal breakthrough or working out a relationship issue, the conversation flows like the tide.

  • Mindfulness on a surfboard.
    Surfing makes you focus on the now. The only thing you have to worry about is keeping your balance—making it the perfect time for introspection without the usual distractions.

  • Cognitive Function/.
    Ocean settings help improve focus, memory, and mental fatigue recovery.

How it works: 

What to Expect

  • Quick Beach Briefing:
    You’ll meet your therapist, get comfy with your surfboard, and chat about what’s on your mind. 

  • Surf & Spill:
    Out in the water, you’ll sit on your board and start talking while the ocean rocks you gently. It’s like therapy with a view, but better. You’ll talk through whatever’s weighing you down or just chat about life while catching some waves.

  • Reflection (AKA Your Post-Surf Glow):
    After catching a few waves and unpacking your thoughts, we’ll wrap up with a quick reflection on your session and action steps for whats next.

What to Bring

  • Your swimsuit (unless you’re into soggy pants, in which case, suit yourself).

  • Sunscreen—don’t make us remind you, just trust us.

  • Your board (if you have one) - or let us know and we can bring you one free of charge! 

  • A willingness to try something new (and maybe laugh a little, because... well, surfing).

  • An open mind—seriously, this therapy is all about being present and willing to dive deep (pun intended).
