New to PSS?
For many, the process of starting therapy can be daunting. The idea of opening up their deepest selves to a complete stranger is completely foreign. We get it. But we also know YOU know, two hands (or minds) are better than one and that you need support to move the dial.
So with that in mind, let’s chat about a few key things you can do to make working together most effective.
Create time and space for yourself BEFORE AND AFTER each session.
While we can never be sure what will come up in sessions, PSS pushes boundaries. This is often uncomfortable. Therefore allowing yourself space to feel and reflect on sessions is highly recommended.
Be welcoming to shifts and change.
With each session, you need to be willing to invite change. Change in behavior, responses and potentially even opinions.
Remember your why.
Before your sessions, think - what shifts need to occur to make your life “great” What will your life look like as a result of working with PSS? If we know where we want to go, the journey to get there can be easier to withstand.
